The tour goes from Numitvej, we stop at the heat exchanger for the district heating plant and can often feel a temperature drop of several degrees here. We turn down to Nordhavnen, ride along the quay edge and see the western side of the lock, past the Smokehouse restaurant and Lystfiskeren, through the roundabout and down to the eastern side of the drainage lock. Here we follow the nature trail around with the lock houses, Langsand Langs Vand, a quick trip around the marina, the houseboats known from the Hvide Sande film, the old equipment houses mixed with new holiday cabins, which are rebuilt in the same style as the demolished ones.

We ride out on the harbor pier at Tyskerhavnen and continue north along the fjord with the beautiful gardens on the left hand. Further out we meet the Cable Park and Westvind Surf Center, before we cross through the town and join the nature trail. We pass access road C67 at Lyngvig lighthouse, here we continue through the beautiful nature area and cross the dunes at access road C122 further north. From here we ride on the beach 7 km toward Hvide Sande.

We see the lighthouse again, this time from the beach side, when the beach at Lyngvig camping is passed it becomes almost deserted and often very good to ride on. The last 2 km before Hvide Sande the beach begins to get softer, and here it’s important to be even better at staying on track, so accidents are avoided. At the northernmost mill we ride up to the mill road and from there back to Numitvej. We take a short break halfway.

The tour is ridden the opposite way around in southerly wind directions, so we have tailwind on the beach.
